We're working hard to raise funds, but our grantees are the folks who are truly
making a difference

To date, three Maine organizations received major grants from our fundraising: East End Kids Katering, Maine Equal Justice Partners and Cultivating Community. These leaders work daily to surround children with access to healthy, nutritious food. We are proud to support these fine organizations.

Our 2008 grantees include: East End Kids Katering, Maine Equal Justice Partners and Cultivating Community. And for 2008, we are proud to add Preble Street Resource Center to our lineup.

Creating Awareness
One of our chief goals at So Maine SOS is to create greater
awareness of Maine's childhood hunger crisis. Tackling this goal is a team effort of our volunteers, corporate partners and of course, the guests of Taste of the Nation. The Empty Plates project is an excellent example of how we work to not just raise funds, but also raise awareness.

Maine's Taste of the Nation
is one of more than sixty Taste events
staged each year across the
US and Canada
